A STABLE 2025

Happy Holidays to All ❤️

If you read our last update, you know that for the past three months we’ve been slowly weaning Jack off chemo. We’ve been praying his scans would stay steady—and I didn’t realize how much fear I was carrying until they slid him into the MRI machine today and I found myself quietly sobbing.

Then, within an hour, the results came back—and we got the news we’ve been hoping for:
Jack’s tumor is STABLE.

That single word means everything to us right now.

After nearly three years on this journey, every bit of stability feels like a step closer to normal life.

And I have to share this—today, I told Dr. Cohen, Jack’s oncologist, “You’ve grown on us.” He laughed.
The truth is, in the beginning, I was frustrated with him.
His approach felt clinical when all I wanted was someone to fight with the same urgency I felt.
But over time, I realized we now speak the same language—JACK.

Every decision, every conversation, every ounce of research from Dr. Cohen and the Hopkins neuro-oncology team has been about giving Jack the best chance. For that, we are deeply grateful.

And the good news doesn’t stop there—Jack’s vocal cord is holding strong too! In true Jack fashion, he surprised us all by letting Dr. Walsh scope him while awake—something we never imagined he’d do. Even though he hasn’t had a cord injection since May 2024, he doesn’t need one now. Another huge win!

What’s next?

For the next three months, we’ll keep reducing his chemo until we reach zero by March.

We’re praying hard that Jack continues to stay stable.

Additionally, we are starting a GLP-1 medication to help with weight loss.
His current meds have kept his weight steady, but losing weight will help ease his breathing and joint pain.

Please keep Jack in your prayers as we take these next steps.
This road has been long—but lately, we’ve found glimpses of normalcy and joy, and that feels like the greatest gift of all.

Thank you for loving Jack and walking this journey with us.

Wishing you all peace, joy, and hope this holiday season.

Love, The Taylors <3
